The University of Washington is forcing sex offenders out of a neighborhood because they are living close to campus. Sitting on the porch with convicted sex offenders as carefree, pajama clad college girls stroll the sidewalks is indeed strange, but haven't they done their time?

A star emerges

I'm working on a story about dog life in SF, one of the best places for a dog to live on the planet (except maybe a sheep farm in New Zealand). One dogwalker put it like this: "When I die, I want to be reincarnated as a a rescue mutt in some shelter in San Francisco."

Artsy ballers

San Francisco Academy of Arts University is forming an athletic department that, in a few years, school officials hope will be Division 1 competitive. Creative thinking indeed.
