A star emerges

I'm working on a story about dog life in SF, one of the best places for a dog to live on the planet (except maybe a sheep farm in New Zealand). One dogwalker put it like this: "When I die, I want to be reincarnated as a a rescue mutt in some shelter in San Francisco."

Friends and supporters mourn the death of Ruby Rodriguez, a Nicaraguan transgender woman killed in the Mission District back in March. :: Last night I spent a few hours trying to convince transgender revelers at the Power Exchange to open their lives to the SF Chronicle.
